Study in Australia
Australia has become one of the most favorite study abroad destinations for students who wish to complete their higher education. Students who want vocational training can study in Australia at a Technical and Further Education (TAFE) institution. TAFE can provide students with training that is both practical and career-oriented and allows them to develop their own career path through a mix of study and work. TAFE offers courses in subjects such as computing, business studies, marketing, graphic design, tourism and hospitality. Some TAFE courses are offered at degree level with the majority being at diploma or associate diploma level. Under Australia’s national qualifications framework graduates can also progress into higher level courses including entry into Australian universities for Diploma and Bachelor degrees. To study in Australia for an undergraduate university course, international students generally require the overseas equivalent of Australian high school matriculation. To study in Australia for a Postgraduate university courses, master or PhD students require a good first degree. A proven research ability and work experience are required for postgraduate degrees such as MBA or PhD. GMAT is not normally required for MBA admission at Australian universities.
To Study in Australia for TAFE courses, entry to Certificate level courses varies, but generally students are required to have successfully completed the local equivalent of Year 10 or 11. Entry into Diploma level courses generally requires successful completion of the equivalent Year 12. Entry to Advanced Diplomas varies, but generally requires successful completion of Year 12 and some prerequisite courses may also require relevant work experience, presentation of portfolios or additional post-school training.
