NEW COURSESMSc Tourism Management and MarketingUniversity of Nottingham Tourism is one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the world. This new MSc programme is designed to enable students develop a systematic understanding and a critical awareness of the managerial and marketing issues that face the tourism industry both nationally and internationally. Participants will be encouraged to develop skills in relation to practical research and decision making in a tourism business environment to ensure a balance between the acquisition of conceptual and practical knowledge. On completion of this degree, students will have the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the management and marketing of tourism in both private and public sectors, for direct providers, for government and for consultancy and support agencies. Graduates will also have the necessary research skills to pursue further study if they so wish. The course is offered by Nottingham University Business School (UniAdmission partner), rated as grade 5 for research and ‘excellent’ for teaching). Within the Business School, the Christel de Haan Tourism and Travel Research Institute will lead the delivery of the MSc programme, building on the specialist experience of its staff and an internationally recognised research programme. Entry RequirementsThis degree is aimed at good honours graduates with a first degree in a relevant subject (eg economics, business and management or travel and tourism or subjects with a substantial component of these subjects).
